Randolph High School Competition Cheerleading Team Gives Back
The Randolph Competition Cheerleading team gathered on December 7th for a holiday party and to give back to the community. The team took on a service project by partnering with Clean the World to assemble amenity kits. Clean the World is a social enterprise with the mission of saving millions of lives around the world. Clean the World leads a global hygiene initiative to distribute recycled soap and hygiene products from more than 5,000 hotel partners to children and families in countries with a high death rate due to hygiene-related illnesses.
Clean the World accomplishes its mission by collecting and recycling discarded soap and plastic amenity bottles from participating hospitality partners. At a Clean the World facility, the soap is sanitized, grinded, and cut into new bars. The bars are then boxed for distribution. The Cheerleading team assembled over 500 kits this year combing the soap with shampoo, toothpaste and other items. The team opted to keep it local by partnering with the Randolph High School Bridges Service Club and local organizations such as Covenant House and Homeless Solutions who were excited to receive the kits for the families and individuals they support.
With the work behind them, the team enjoyed dinner and a gift exchange. It was a great way to contribute back to the community while strengthening the team bond. The Competition team is already off to a great season and have earned a bid the National Cheerleading Competition in Orlando, Florida.
